Yesterday was the second day of the GACC event held in Malacca Multimedia University( in the exam hall), and I am really glad I could attend it, though I didn't cosplay as any characters ^^ This is my first time attending an anime convention, so all the doujinshi booths, gaming and cosplaying events are relatively new to me..Most cosplayers cosplayed as characters from D.Gray-Man and Vampire Knight..So there were lots of Allen Walkers, Kandas, Leenalees, Yuki Crosses..There were characters from La Corda too. Konpanchi (crossover between Zaraki Kenpanchi and Kon) was there too..haha.
Best of all, they had Masakazu Morita, who voiced Kurosaki Ichigo (Bleach) and Hihara Kazuki (La Corda D'Oro) as a special guest in this special event. The hall was practially filled to the brim with fans, and worst of all, the air conditioners were malfunctioning, but that didn't stop everyone from cheering and screaming non-stop when Morita-san stepped into the hall. The first few sentences he said was how hot and humid Malaysia was, but it is a wonderful country with kind people, leaving fans screaming with joy..Surprisingly he could speak good basic English. He gave away Diamond Dust Rebellion(the newest Bleach movie) souvenirs(cards with sounds coming out from them) to those who were lucky enough to go onstage to ask him questions, and even had a Jan-Ken-Pon session with everyone to decide the winner for the final souvenir. Most of the souvevirs had Hitsugaya and Ichigo printed on them to promote the latest movie, and the fans were cheering non-stop when Hitsugaya was shown. (If Paku Romi, the seiyuu of Hitsugaya came, I bet they would go crazy) He also shared his experience that he coughed out blood sometimes while voice-acting(mostly when he is voicing Ichigo). Personally, he gave lots of great advice to fans and even performed live voice acting of Ichigo's most famous line when he unleashes his bankai..
I think that his personality resembled Hihara the most of all his characters even though he said that he resembled Tidus from Final Fantasy. He commented that he likes heroic characters like Ichigo. We didn't get a chance to get his autograph because my mom wanted to leave early, but I'm glad we got a chance to see him. It was wonderful he could come to Malaysia, and Malacca to date..Let's just hope that next year Jun Fukuyama might come to Malaysia, haha..
