Convent recently had its taste of the H1N1 scare when a girl from Form 4 had to be quarantined because her sister was the first person in Johor to be infected.
I pity the girl (can't reveal her name in case somebody not from our school is reading this) because she was so happy when her sister was finally coming home but this just has to happen. Their grandmother had also passed away if you read the news. I hope her sister recovers soon.
When I reached school today, the teachers stood there with a thermometer in hand, ready to send back any students who are running with a temperature. I was relieved when they let me passed. Cos I did have a slight fever yesterday. But today I was much better already, and my mom took my temperature this morning and it was normal.
There was no assembly this morning. We immediately returned to class. Most of the students were spotted wearing a mask. Some were busy applying sanitizers. It was really paranoia.
The whole class of the quarantined girl had to be quarantined in the hall. Man Peng, Regina, Wen Xin, Mei Jie etc etc...Library meeting was also postponed.
The teachers had a meeting during the 1st period. Open Day had to be postponed until after the year-end exam. Great. Now it's double the pressure. But classes still have to go on.
I was thinking, why go on with classes when so many people are quarantined already?! That's when Pn Lee came in and ask why I was here. I remembered my mom calling her yesterday after she took my temperature. Oh god.
Pn Lee asked me to return home. I was reluctant cos there was Add Maths and stuff. And also there was another reason too, but I had no choice. My sister can't come too.
And I'm now I'm stucked at home, quarantined? I don't even know whether I am allowed to go to school tomorrow. What more tuition and art class? Great. T.T
