Anyway, I just came back from my Europe trip and it was superb! We went to 8 countries, namely Italy, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium and France. My Hetalia fangirl mode was practically wild when I visited Italy and Switzerland. I have never even heard of Liechtenstein before Hetalia, and I have to thank the author for introducing me to the country. Of all the countries I love Switzerland the most because I got to see real snow at Mt. Titlis! Many other highlights were like the many visits to different cathedrals, a visit to the red light district at Amsterdam (gasps!!) and watching a live cabaret in Paris (we got to see half naked girls strutting their stuff at the cabaret), the beautiful windmills in the Netherlands and many more.

And the food was oh so heavenly. We had the chance to experience an original Tuscanny dinner, Swiss fondue, Black Forest lunch and an exotic French cuisine at the cabaret. (yummy escargots, which are actually snails for those of you who have not heard of the term before...) And we ate chocolates, chocolates and more chocolates (yup, that means everyone of us has put on a few pounds after this trip)

My sister posted her full journal entries at her blog (All of us kept journals to chronicle our experiences), but as for me, I don't think I am capable of doing that because all my journal entries were very long and we actually spent 14 days there. If you want to see more pictures of the trip you can visit her blog for more details.

I am very jetlagged now and I miss the food from Europe so much. My sister says she feels miserable cos the trip has ended and she has finished reading and watching all her favourite manga and anime so she feels rather empty now, like a BIG chunk of her is missing. So now she is immersing herself in anything concerning the boy band SHINee. Gosh.

I am looking forward to next week because we are going to have a family gathering in KL. Though it's a real pity Nadiah's family wouldn't be able to join us for our Christmas celebration due to some really personal reasons. My mum has bought an electric grill so that we can grill our food during Christmas. :)

I did really bad for my Chemistry this time :(

I was totally lost when I attended Add Maths tuition on Wednesday. Guess missing two weeks of lessons isn't a good thing. I couldn't remember anything Pn Tan taught us concerning the 1st chapter of the Form 5 syllabus..But I sort of got back on track halfway through the session, thanks to Kah Min's notes which she borrowed me earlier on. Thank you very much. :)

Au revoir and merci for reading my post ^_^

Singapore Trip

On the 27th of August, Elaine, Lee Ting, my sister, and me went on a day trip to Singapore. Lee Ting and Elaine had actually come to stay for the night before our trip. It was a really fun experience cos none of them had actually slept over at their friend's house before. We chit chatted until the wee hours about the upcoming trip and what we liked to dress..Typical girl talk..haha

My mom fetched all of us first thing in the morning to Singapore. We had breakfast at Mcdonald's. I even put an extra Hash Brown in my bag. After that, we went to the Immigration Centre to renew our Permanent Residential status before proceeding to the Science Centre. My mom went to work after that. We had the 'golden opportunity' to ride the MRT to Orchard Road, but we were all drenched when we reached the MRT station cos we had only one umbrella. We looked like really sesated people running across the streets..haha..And one of my shoe straps just had to break on that day. My feet were all black after that.

Anyways, we reached Orchard safely. It was a rather long ride. We walked and walked until our feet were all sore. My sis had a few blisters too, but it was really fun. Our lunch was pastries and bread from this rather posh bakery at Ion Orchard. It was real good. Lee Ting also bought lots of food when we walked round the place. We were walking pass Wisma Atria and we saw this *ehem* rather seedy place which sells, you guess it, condoms. It was called the "House of Condoms". And we even passed by that place a few times. There was even a warning saying that only people above 21 could enter..LOL..

Our trip ended with a wonderful dinner at Bakerzin's. It was really tiring to be walking all over the place, but I enjoyed myself very much. It was our first time hanging out together in Singapore. I hope we can have more outings in the near future.

Pictures we took:

Lee Ting and me

Elaine's hand =)

Elaine and Lee Ting

The muscles :)

Notice the three silhouettes of my sister reflected in the mirror..hehe

Library Farewell Party

Yesterday was finally the farewell party for our Form 5 seniors. And it was so delayed because of the Penilaian Koko thing, and further more, the plan to celebrate the party in the hall did not materialize because we had Open Day yesterday..

The party started at around 12.30 noon. Cassie and Wei Ting were already up in the library before 12.00 to make sure everything was in order. The juniors also helped carry the food up, and it brought back memories of transfering the food all the way from the car park to the library when I was in Form 2. I can't believe that now we would be actually in charge of organizing the party..Time does fly.

The food this time was really scrumptious! And to make sure that the juniors get enough food ( we have this tradition of letting the seniors take the food first), all the Form 4 librarians dilligently helped dish out the food for everyone. We had spaghetti, tofu, fried chicken, cream puffs, cheese tarts and cupcakes..(Yum!) Before the party started, Ashley and me went to look for Puan Emilda, and she handed trays which looked like pandan leaves which were supposed to be used for putting the name tags for the juniors..Last time we used those shiny silver trays, but this time there were none left for us..Puan Emilda said it looked very Malaysian..haha...

The party started the usual way, with the librarians all lined up outside the library, and when the seniors came, everybody gave them a big round of applause. Geok Boon and Melissa, the outgoing president and vice-president respectively, both gave speeches, and Geok Boon's speech especially, was really touching. I can't believe that they are going to leave the school soon. Cassie, the new president, also gave a speech expressing her gratitude to the seniors for helping in the transition to becoming a president of the library.

After that we gave out the name tags to the Form 1 and Form 2 juniors. However, the Form 4s and the Form 3s have to wait till next week to get the name tags due to unforeseen circumstances..Although we could not get our name tags yesterday, I really look forward to getting them next week. This time it will be the golden name tag. :)

Anyway, all of us were really glad that the party was a huge success! The seniors enjoyed themselves very much..I was really glad that they liked their gifts too. I was kinda worried that they did not like how I wrote their names on the cups, but they liked it very much, so I'm relieved..I'm sure my sister feels the same way too. There was also enough food for everyone this time, in fact, there were too much food that we had to "dapow" back..hehe..Later we had to carry the food all way to the tuition centre..I'm really happy everyone enjoyed themselves..

To all the Form 5 librarians, we wish you all the best in your SPM and in whatever you are going to pursue in the future. And we will miss you, very very much :)

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

I watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on Saturday with my cousins and I love it so much! Their grandmother had also passed away if you read the news. I hope her sister recovers soon.

When I reached school today, the teachers stood there with a thermometer in hand, ready to send back any students who are running with a temperature. I was relieved when they let me passed. Cos I did have a slight fever yesterday. But today I was much better already, and my mom took my temperature this morning and it was normal.

There was no assembly this morning. We immediately returned to class. Most of the students were spotted wearing a mask. Some were busy applying sanitizers. It was really paranoia.

The whole class of the quarantined girl had to be quarantined in the hall. Man Peng, Regina, Wen Xin, Mei Jie etc etc...Library meeting was also postponed.

The teachers had a meeting during the 1st period. Open Day had to be postponed until after the year-end exam. Great. Now it's double the pressure. But classes still have to go on.

I was thinking, why go on with classes when so many people are quarantined already?! That's when Pn Lee came in and ask why I was here. I remembered my mom calling her yesterday after she took my temperature. Oh god.

Pn Lee asked me to return home. I was reluctant cos there was Add Maths and stuff. And also there was another reason too, but I had no choice. My sister can't come too.

And I'm now I'm stucked at home, quarantined? I don't even know whether I am allowed to go to school tomorrow. What more tuition and art class? Great. The ending left me completely baffled and pining for the movies which would be only released on the 28th of November. It seems like a long time to wait.

I have no idea what happened to the protagonist. But one thing is for sure, this is the most original anime I have watched for a long time. I really mean it. Though the ending did remind me of Code Geass R2..In R2, Lelouch makes himself king and pretends to be "evil" so that eternal peace can be attained. In Eden, the protagonist Akira asks the supercomputer Juiz to make him king of the country (Japan).

For what reason he wants to be king, I don't know. Apparently, somebody as exasperated as me was desperate enough to ask for help in Yahoo! Answers..I am now hoping the movies which supposedly will serve as the sequels for the show will explain this whole bizarre thing right from the start.

The heroine of the show, Saki, comments before the ending credits, that Akira became the king of a country which has no kings. Doesn't Japan have a king, or perhaps, an emperor? Haha..

The synopsis from Wikipedia is as below :
On November 22 2010, ten missiles strike against uninhabited areas of Japan, claiming no victims. This apparent terrorist act is referred to as "Careless Monday" and disregarded by most people. The series begins three months later, with a young Japanese woman named Saki Morimi visiting Washington D.C. as part of her graduation trip. When she gets into trouble, a mysterious Japanese man, who introduces himself as Akira Takizawa, helps her through it. The man appears to have no memory and is completely naked, carrying only a gun and a cell phone charged with 8.2 billion yen in digital money. The cell phone has the phrase, noblesse oblige ("nobility obligates" or "noble's obligation" in English), printed on it. While they are coming back to Japan, they learn that a new missile attack has taken place in their country."

Akira later realises that he is part of the "Selecao", 12 people who are given 10 billion yen each by an individual named Mr Outside The money is in digital currency in a distinguishable cell phone owned by only the members of that organization. Each of the members are involved in a game in which they have find ways to "save" Japan by spending the money given to them. If their money runs out before they can "save" their country, or spend their money in their own personal ambitions, or even try to escape from the game, they will be killed by the "Supporter" who is disguised as one of the Selecao members.

For starters, this anime is very intriuging, very intense, and very mysterious, traits unlike the norm of most anime found in the market.

Though I read in a forum somewhere that the movie Eagle Eye has a similar concept to Eden of the East.

The production quality of the anime is superb, obviously, when it is produced by renowned studio Production I.G. Fans of Honey and Clover will also instantly recognize that the characters are designed by Chika Umino, the author of Honey and Clover.

Most people would also be delighted to know that the opening theme is "Falling Down" by the British band Oasis. The ending sequence, which features the song "futuristic imagination" by the Japanese band School Food Punishment is also one of the most refreshing sequences I have seen.

I have to admit that the show frequently touches on weird and absurd things, especially the "Johnnies". You will have to watch to find out what exactly are the "Johnnies" though.

Here are some screenshots of the 1st two episodes. Warning: There is a fair share of nudity here, but very well concealed XD

Saki gets into deep trouble after she throws a coin into the White House.

A naked Akira distracts the police. It's a great feeling once everything is done..Domo arigatou gozaimasu, Qin Wen!

I'm not as big as a fan of Tsubasa as my sister, but I chose this skin anyway cos it was quite nice.

And I actually read the latest chapter cos my sister was "hyperventilating" after she read it..And guess what?

Tsubasa fans who do not like spoilers, please do not continue reading. I'm warning you.

The cloned Syaoran and Sakura are actually the parents of the original Syaoran.

Strange as it seems, but very true. When I 1st read it, I was like "what the xx"?

So basically the whole chapter showed the clones, whom after reincarnating, grew up and led normal lives, got married, and had a baby, who turned out to be original Syaoran.

Wow.

There was another Vampire Knight skin which was quite nice. But oh, it's Kaname and Yuki. So I decided to drop that one. Vampire Knight's latest chapters are practically going haywire.

Today's our 1st librarian B.O.D meeting. We discussed many things, from re-arranging the books to the farewell party. It was the name of a student.

I have not even heard of this girl until today. But she was already gone. I felt odd. For somebody so close to us to just leave us so suddenly.

I gasped as Kai Voon told us that Denise was a Form 1 girl who sucuumbed to her illness this morning.

"I certainly hoped you donated generously to the girl who just passed away", adds in Pn Emilda after she finished distributing the papers. And why during April? Oh my god, this is PMR year for us, and with all those folios piling up now, I don't even think I can get the chance to watch them online, plus I haven't even finish the anime I watched a month ago.

First there's Vampire Knight, due to be released on April 7 or 8. Very highly anticapted by fans, this one. Not to be blamed because of the wonderful manga by Matsuri Hino which it is based on. So, which means that there is a high possibility that it will never be better than the manga. Furthermore, after watching the promotional video for the anime, I'm further convinced that it will be like one of those anime that will flop and disappoint fans. Firstly, the character designs which look far too amateur looking for the standards of VK, especially Zero, who does not carry the significance of his personality just because of the character designs in the anime. And the opening song disappointed me also, which makes me wonder how can an opening like that be chosen for an anime like Vampire Knight. It just doesn't suit the atmosphere of the show. Oh well, I hope that the anime will prove me wrong and live up to the high expectations of fans after I have watched it. But seriously if you are a VK fan, go check it out after it is released. But till then, keep your fingers crossed.

Next would be the second season of Code Geass, Code Geass:Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, also released in April. After the cliffhanger which ended the first season, the second season is also higly anticipated by fans. However, judging from the promo video, it looks like the second season mantains the quality of its previous season and will feature many new characters, in particular Rollo Lamperouge, who is rumored to be the clone of Lelouch and the "male" version of Nunnally. And weird enough Lelouch, Karen and Suzaku are alive after the supposed gunshot in the cliffhanger. Well, I guess we would have to the watch the second season to find out.

The list goes on.. xxxHoLIC kei, the second season of xxxHoLIC will also be released in April and it seems that it will follow the manga loyally. Even the opening sequence features scenes that were originally illustrated by Clamp for the manga. And judging that it will be produced by Production IG, this looks like an anime that will live up to fans' expectations.

Anime that has garnered popularity after its release are Spice and Wolf, and the anime Mnemosyne. But people who don't like gore and nudity, please stay away from Mnemosyne, because it features a fair share of violence and disturbing scenes.

More anime released in April are Neo Angelique based on the PS2 game by Koei and Amatsuki based on the manga with the same name.

And attention to all D.Gray-man fans who will tune in to Arts Central tonight to watch the newest episode, there will be new opening and ending sequences starting from episode 77 onwards. They are Gekaidou by UVERworld and Regret by Mai Hoshimura..Tune in to find out..:-)

One of the Weekends

We're back in Malacca again to visit my grandmum. So it's the normal thing we have to do every time we go to the hospital.

Buy coffee for the adults.

My grandmum was hospitalized in Mahkota Medical Centre, so that means Mahkota Parade is just a few- minutes walk away from the hospital, so the adults have been indulging in coffee whenever they are doing their "rounds" to take care of my grandmum in the hospital.

So whenever they asked us to buy coffee, my younger cousins would be begging for us to buy sweets and junk food for them.

On the side note, my eldest aunt, Aunt Lai Foong from the United States came to Malacca to visit my grandmum too. She told me that Yu(my eldest Korean cousin) was 5"4".

5"4". That means he is taller than me already! He used to be shorter than all of us. Oh my gosh, I'm so short.

Ok, back to this. Though, this time around, the adults didn't ask us to buy coffee as they already had their coffee earlier on. Instead, Aunt Lai Foong asked us to get a adapter for her Blackberry.

So, as usual, the younger ones will be begging for their Ribena sweets and Hundred Pluses..My aunt gave us RM 100.

Only the older cousins were allowed to go to Mahkota Parade, so Rin, Fook Keong, Nadiah, my sis and I went.

We bought the sweets. Apparently the shop selling electronic devices was closed, so we went to Dataran Pahlawan instead, the shopping complex next to MP.

Too bad, all the electronic shops were closed already.

So we ran back to MP again. Fook Keong suggested that we try the store next to Giant at the basement. Fortunately for us, it was still opened, and they sold the adapter.

After we bought the adapter, we decided to go buy drinks for everyone since we were all dying for a drink. Off to Giant we go.

Hundred Plus..F&N Mango with Nata de Coco..Ribena...We paid after we have chosen our drinks.

The cashier calculated the total price. It was RM 12. Rin took out RM 22. I guess she didn't notice that the two pieces of RM 10 were stacked together. I didn't notice it either. She gave all the money to the cashier. The cashier put the money into the cash box without even counting it.

By then, Rin calculated the remainder money and suddenly said that a RM 10 note was missing. She must have given the cashier an extra RM 10. FK suddenly said that he saw her giving two RM 10 notes to the cashier. We were just leaving the counter, so Rin asked the cashier whether she gave her RM 22 instead of RM 12. The cashier denied it.

We left reluctantly. However, Rin was still not assured and calculated the money again. A RM 10 was indeed missing. We took out all the previous bills we collected that night and went back to the counter again. We tried to ask for the RM 10. The cashier ignored us and told Rin that she was very busy. None of us budged from the counter. We didn't want to leave unless she gave us the money.

Rin showed her all the bills but the cashier didn't even want to look at it. She insisted that Rin never gave her an extra RM 10. By then, a crowd had gather around us. Some people even offered to look at the bills. They tried to persuade the cashier to believe us but it was no use. She even reprimanded us for being "money- hungry".

Rin was at the verge of tears. The cashier said that she will not return the money. Did she think that she could bully us because we were still kids? But there was no point in arguing further so we left the counter.

Well, I guess we learnt a lesson to be more observant next time.

GACC

Yesterday was the second day of the GACC event held in Malacca Multimedia University( in the exam hall), and I am really glad I could attend it, though I didn't cosplay as any characters ^^ This is my first time attending an anime convention, so all the doujinshi booths, gaming and cosplaying events are relatively new to me..Most cosplayers cosplayed as characters from D.Gray-Man and Vampire Knight..So there were lots of Allen Walkers, Kandas, Leenalees, Yuki Crosses..There were characters from La Corda too. Konpanchi (crossover between Zaraki Kenpanchi and Kon) was there too..haha.

Best of all, they had Masakazu Morita, who voiced Kurosaki Ichigo (Bleach) and Hihara Kazuki (La Corda D'Oro) as a special guest in this special event. The hall was practially filled to the brim with fans, and worst of all, the air conditioners were malfunctioning, but that didn't stop everyone from cheering and screaming non-stop when Morita-san stepped into the hall. The first few sentences he said was how hot and humid Malaysia was, but it is a wonderful country with kind people, leaving fans screaming with joy..Surprisingly he could speak good basic English. He gave away Diamond Dust Rebellion(the newest Bleach movie) souvenirs(cards with sounds coming out from them) to those who were lucky enough to go onstage to ask him questions, and even had a Jan-Ken-Pon session with everyone to decide the winner for the final souvenir. Most of the souvevirs had Hitsugaya and Ichigo printed on them to promote the latest movie, and the fans were cheering non-stop when Hitsugaya was shown. (If Paku Romi, the seiyuu of Hitsugaya came, I bet they would go crazy) He also shared his experience that he coughed out blood sometimes while voice-acting(mostly when he is voicing Ichigo). Personally, he gave lots of great advice to fans and even performed live voice acting of Ichigo's most famous line when he unleashes his bankai..

I think that his personality resembled Hihara the most of all his characters even though he said that he resembled Tidus from Final Fantasy. He commented that he likes heroic characters like Ichigo. We didn't get a chance to get his autograph because my mom wanted to leave early, but I'm glad we got a chance to see him. It was wonderful he could come to Malaysia, and Malacca to date..Let's just hope that next year Jun Fukuyama might come to Malaysia, haha..

The Year 2008

Year 2008 has officially started. (It has already started a long time ago.) The year when all Form 3s have to sit for their PMR.

Last year's Christmas gathering was fun. Really fun. All of us had the opportunity to wear red. A rule set by my mom. And the usual "water balloon" fights like the previous year. This year was a little different though. The fight went on for more than 40 minutes. And my male cousins went half-naked to let me snap a photo of them. Ha.

This year, I'm back in 3B..Together with all my other close friends. Yukina's back from KL too. She's trying to adjust back to life in Convent. But I'm glad she's back after all that that happened last year. Last year was like a roller-coaster ride.

We're in morning session this year. It wasn't that bad as I have expected. Except that I have to wake up at 5am every morning. (I practically sleep in the bus every day.)And the homework we have been getting every day.

My sister hasn't got into Convent yet. My mom and my dad were hoping that she could get in, but apparently they announced that she went into the second batch, so up till now there's no news of her admittance yet. So we have to pray really hard that she still stands a chance. She's now in PJ1, a co-ed school near our house.

I'm looking forward to Chinese New Year this year. One reason is that I can see my wonderful cousins again. I think I'm treasuring more of our time together now because my eldest cousin's going to leave us to study somewhere else real soon. So this year's Christmas gathering's going to be the most meaningful one because my Korean cousins from America are coming too..:-)

Well, until then.

It's not that the sadness is cured
After the tears fall
I just feel that there's a coward settled in my heart

But I want to go on believing
The beginning of my small dream
My spirit is starting to walk little by little
While it drags even the pain along

Even if can't see tomorrow because I'm confused,
My love will probably search for the future
Tired of crying,
I am at the end of the rainbow, newly born

This town is always like that
Showing a vague reality
But I wish I could feel just a single hope
Yes, I wish I could feel it

People compare themselves to someone
And lose themselves
But things that are precious are in their hearts,
So they want to make them shine without making them dirty

If the rain cloud bursts because it's soaking wet,
We can probably meet the light that leads the way
Flickering in a puddle
The sun will shine on meHappiness, tenderness
While the things we can't see spill and we gather them
Until they overflow someday

If the rain cloud bursts now,
A Sigh of Relief

The exams are finally over!! The exhausting and dreadful finals are finally over!! All the anxiety and studying, adieu!! (Well, PMR and SPM are far worst than this, but let's just take one step at a time..)

And I'm back here blogging crap after getting permission from my father to use the PC (Well, not exactly, I didn't get exact permission from him, just the password to the PC..).

I wonder if I can relax just now..There's still the RESULTS. R-E-S-U-L-T-S. I'm really worried for my BM. And my Science. And my Geography. And my KH.And my Sejarah. And my English. Almost all of them I guess. When can the anxiety stop?

But at least there's the Deepavali holidays to look forward to. I think we will have five days off. This week to be exact. But not to be confirmed yet cos teacher didn't say anything..Elaine started her holidays already today. On the plus side, the year-end holidays are starting the week after next. Something great to look forward to.

Since the exams are over, drawing resumes. I promised three people that I would hand in their "orders" after the exams. I better start work now or else there would be no time. I have two other "major" paintings to complete for my mom's new house too. But I would so like to do so much other things too. There's the character devolopment for my new collaboration with my cousins. I wanted to at least draft out the bad guys of the story but guess that will have to wait till the holidays. But at least I drew the height chart for my main characters..There's 14 of them! And I don't know who should I make the main character.(It used to be an old story/comic I did when I was 10, and now I'm digging it out to again to make a concrete storyline out of it, trust me, the old one is so hilarious and full of nonsense that I couldn't help surpress my laughter when I read them again..)And I want to read manga online, and watch more anime online too. (My sis finished all of that when I was sitting for the finals, good gracious. She has been spending most of the time reading manga online and playing the Harry Potter PC game since her UPSR ended..)

Someone please wake me up now that November has officially started.

I touched the bonds that have gone cold, with my fingers
The cracks in my heart crumble
My body wanders about, wow...<br each other in, in the endless night
Can't see the end of the days that we spent together
Even though we're this far away from each other<br Singapore.^_^

Right now my sis's in Genting. She left for her year-end school trip yesterday. She gets to stay in Genting for three days and KL for one days. So that means that she is able to play non-stop in the themepark for three consecutive days..Wow..

My mum picked me up from my school yesterday and we went straight to Singapore..We had to go to school yesterday because of some replacement for the Hari Raya Holidays..Only our school and Foon Yew had schooling, it isn't fair..Why does our school have so many replacement holidays? Oh, well...I think yesterday's the last replacement, which is good.

We stayed overnight at my godmother's house. She owns a penthouse, the kind of house that youngsters nowadays like to stay at, because the structure of the house is very close to the roof..

My godmother owns a dog called Nelly. When she first saw me, she licked my hands and feet non-stop..It was the first time I got that close with a pet..I am not the animal-lover like some of my friends, so this is the first time a dog's licked me..My godmom says Nelly likes to make friends, and she probably wants to be friends with me..Well, it's okay to be friendly, but Nelly actually licked my hands every 15-20 minutes..Which is ticklish..Very. But she's really cute for a dog. She's very greedy when it comes to food. My godmom's son told me that she swallowed one whole mooncake which is left on the dining table by herself! But I'm a total idiot when it comes to taking care of dogs, so I won't ever rear one..

My mum and I went to Parkway Parade today. I told my mom after lunch that I wanted to go to a manga shop there.

I scrutinized the book shelves one by one..All the manga sold there are considered authentic because they are distributed by licensed publishers..The ones sold in Malaysia are considered "pirated" ones..You know, those that are sold at RM4.50 each, aren't original..But nobody cares because an original manga costs at least $5.00(Sing dollars), which is not affordable if you want to purchase large amounts of manga in one go.

I saw the first volume of La Corda D'oro there..My heart leaped..I have always wanted to buy it but I just can't find the "economical" version in Malaysia..So I guess I will just buy the original one..

I took it from the shelf. The only problem's now is my mom. She usually allows me to buy manga or anime anytime as long as I can pay myself..But in Singapore, I can't buy as "freely" as in Malaysia because most of the time, I don't have Singapore currency..I remember I have 4 $1 coins that originate from my ang pow money from my godmom in my bag..They're buried so deep in my bag that I can't seem to look for it..My mom came and said that we would be leaving to go see some electronic products..I held on to the manga tightly, looking at my mom with the "I-want-to-buy-this-manga" expression. She suddenly asked me,"How much is it?"

I replied,"They didn't state the price, but I guess it's $5 something." Original manga translated in Chinese usually cost something like this, I think."I may have $4 in my bag...", I fumbled through my bag..

"Take this..", said my mom. She passed me two $2 notes.."That should be enough..", I rummaged through my bag. Fortunately, I found two $1 coins..This way, the amount of the money now should sum up to the total amount of money needed.

"I'll wait for you outside the electronics shop", said my mom. I quickly lined up at the counter. Two boys standing in front of me held four Bleach mangas in their hands. The cashier told them that the total amount of money for all the mangas was about $20 something..I heaved a sigh of relief because the money in my hand may just be enough. When it's my turn, the cashier scanned the bar code, smiled at me, and said "$7.44, please."

I looked at the $6 in my hand..Looks like I still don't have enough money.. I remember that there was still two $1 coins in my bag.Lifesaver.I started rummaging through my bag..I pulled out a $1 coin..Now's there one more left..One more, and I will have enough.

"Where is it?" I can't seem to find it..The cashier looked at me, and said,"It's okay, you can just pay the amount of money you have now."

I was embarrased. Never before in my life have I experience such a situation whereby I don't pay the exact amount of cash to a cashier. I tried looking again, but realize it was no use. So the cashier gave me a discount. And I paid $7 for the manga.

I felt rather bad that I ran out of the store right after I paid the cashier. I checked my bag again and found the $1 in it. Wish I had found it earlier.

My mom brought me to Ben and Jerry's after visiting a furniture shop. She asked me to go buy a Tiramisu myself. I checked the price. It was $6.50. My mom gave me $6 with a few coins. I was worried the amount of money wasn't sufficient. The cashier counted and said,"It's $7.50"..

Great. I'm not even sure if the coins add up the remaing $1.50. Is the tip in Singapore that much? I decided to just give whatever I have to the cashier without calculating the exact amount of the money I have now. I quickly looked towards my mom's table in fear that the amount wasn't enough..

Strangely, there was no"Miss, you need to pay $xxx more" kind of thing. The cashier just said, "Thank you very much. Is this where you are sitting?" She looked at the direction I was staring intensely.

My mom laughed at me,"Did I give you the exact amount by mistake?"

Bad payment day, I suppose.

Mooncake Festival

The mooncake festival party in my friend's mom's kindergarten was pretty awesome, I have to say..

My mom and my sis went too.. I told Elaine they would come, and they must come..It's not like everyday you get to see children in kimonos. My sis didn't want to go in the first place..She was ranting over and over again on how tired she was...We actually stayed in the Hyatt hotel on Saturday. because my mom doesn't want to spend a night under the same roof as my dad..And she has to leave for Malacca the next day, so we won't be able to go to Singapore and stay in her apartment for the night..So, my mom booked a place in Hyatt...It's like, a few hundred years since I have last been there..My sis and I were actually very surprised when we entered the hotel lobby. I used to go to Piccolo's situated in the basement of Hyatt when I was a little girl when my family was still, *sighs* complete..We loved to listen to the indie band sing in Piccolo's..Even my grandparents went..

My sis went on complaining that she did not want to go to the party..My mom brought us to Plaza Pelangi before the party started to purchase a gift for the kindergarten..We bought some chocolates as the gift in Chocolate Fantasy..

By the time we got there, the party had already started..Elaine told me that if we got there earlier, we might have been able to see the Japanese kids perform..But the kids do look cute in their kimonos...They were in pink, red, blue and yellow kimonos..Some of their parents were in kimonos too..According to Elaine, most of the kimonos were made by the childrens' mothers..After eating, Elaine took me on a tour around the kindergarten..Some of the classrooms bear a striking resemblance to the ones we had in Q-dees, and for that moment, I wished I was little again..Elaine told me that little kids play and laugh all day long, with no signs of exhaustion and definitely, they are free from stress..

Many of the adults were busy snapping photos of the children..My sis took my phone and started taking photos of them.."They're too cute to be true..", someone said in the midst of the crowd..The kids started singing with their lanterns in hand, smiling at the crowd..Elaine told me that a girl named Ayaka would be leaving the school the next day, and this party was also held to bid her farewell..

The photo below is one of the photos snapped by my sis..Had to swim across the crowd in order to snap one decent picture..The quality is rather crappy..

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5111964365035143138" style="DISPLAY: block; I'm soooo lazy..And everytime I post something here, I don't know what to write..

I've been very busy for the past few months..Because of the Merdeka celebrations, there's tons of drawings I needed to draw..There was this banner, a kad ucapan for Pak Lah, a kad ucapan for Malaysia, a portrait of Tunku Abdul Rahman..And geez...after the portrait competition, there was another one..but I rejected the offer because I might have gone crazy anytime..

And there were the exams..Just recently we had our Gerak Gempur exams..I dunno why the school organized it for..It's not going to be counted in our streaming anyway..But the papers were quite easy, I must say..Except for Science, maybe..

I am so obsessed with Bleach!!! Well, it's not like yesterday I started watching it..it's like ages ago, but for no reason I am particularly obsessed with it now..^^ I actually took time off to watch the Bount arc in Youtube.. I heard fans saying that the Bount arc is one of the most boring arcs in Bleach..But after watching it, it's not so bad..At least Ichigo and gang get to return to Soul Society..But some of the Bounts do get on my nerves..Other than that..I like the three Mod Souls that appear in the arc..Kon is cute, but I think I like Ririn, Cloud and Nova more.(maybe because they are not as perverted as him..) I like Nova the best..He's really cute..It's a pity he always hides himself inside his hood..

To some of the Bleach fans out there, try watching the Rock Musical..If I'm not mistaken, there are four musicals released..It's quite cool to see Bleach characters live on stage..Their songs may not be that nice, but the costumes are cool..Try imagining Bleach cosplayers acting in a musical..It's something like that.

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow cos I can see my mum again! My friend also invited me to go to a party her mom's organizing in conjuction with the Mooncake Festival tomorrow evening..(even though it's a little early)..Her mom owns a kindergarten that specially caters to Japanese children, so tomorrow we get to see the Japanese children together with their mothers dressed in kimonos ..I bet they would look really cute..

Farewell

So many things have happened..So many..

I don't how to start..Perhaps it has been a long time since I blogged here that I have lost all my sense of writing..

Since the last mid-year term exam, I have not been in good terms with Yukina..A terrible misunderstanding happened and she got really angry..And I sweared that I should have nothing more to do with her..After all, our friendship has been rather rocky from the start of the year..But I couldn't, after the mid-year holidays, she regretted her actions and apologised to me, and I forgived her just like how I used to, despite all her hurtful letters..

I told her things cannot go back as it used to be, because there have been too much things we do not agree at..And she followed it until one day, she lost her cool and threw a tantrum at me and Isuzu..She started saying that she didn't want to bother us any longer.. I was very hurt and angry at her actions, and decided that it's best we don't talk to each other any more. I have forgiven her again and again and she does not seem to understand..Isuzu did not know what to do, but she was equally as frustated when Y started writing letters to us..I don't know how I should solve this matter, really..And I felt really bad that I involved Isuzu..I really did not like how things turned out like that..

And so we did not talk to Y for a few weeks after the incident happened..But occasionally she sent us letters when she wanted a word with either me or Isuzu..I was like, didn't she state in her last letter that it was her LAST letter? It was just like how Y used to act..And I know perfectly well everytime when I tried to ignore all these thing happening, deep in my heart I couldn't..

And then the it happened..Last Friday, Y and her siblings went to Genting with her father to watch the MLTR concert. And apparantly it was one of her family problems again, their mother threw them out, so they had to move to KL with their father..I was shocked when I knew what happened from one of her friends on Monday..This was just too sudden..A said that Y would be coming back on Tuesday to settle things in Convent and she would be leaving straight after that..I was shocked..Really..that things have to turned out that way..Isuzu was too, but think that it would be best for Y as she had had too much family problems here already. Perhaps KL will do her better..

The next day, I was like, hoping that perhaps they would change their mind, but once I saw her father and brother, I knew things had to go on..When I reached St Helen's Square, I saw Isuzu and Regina sitting in one corner and Isuzu was holding some of Y's documents..She said that she wanted to pass those to her but could not find her, and did not want to pass it to her sister as she was surrounded by her swarm of friends.. I decided to help pass it to her brother..I found her brother easily. He stood out most from the crowd, obviously, because he was a little boy in a Spiderman shirt. I had to chase after him for awhile because he didn't see me..I saw Y's elder sister with her friends. Some of them were crying, and I could see that her sister was definitely not happy about leaving this school..After all, this was the school that she has been around for nearly five years, and she had to leave just like that without even sitting her SPM here..As I squatted at a corner, Y suddenly came over. And we were like "Hi" when we met..She said that so many things had happened at home and she had to leave..She hugged me and said that she did not want things to happen like that either..I did not know what to say..Deep in my heart, I had forgiven her..I could feel a building sadness inside me, but I did not cry. No, I did not, because I'm afraid it would hold her back. I wanted her to have no more worries and unsettled things here in Convent. She called out to Isuzu, who was sitting not far away from me. Isuzu smiled and wished her good luck. Y hugged her too, and I knew, that, Isuzu too had forgiven her for all the things that she had done. She did not show much of her emotions, but I knew that Isuzu was sad that Y had to leave now. Y kepy asking us not to change our handphone numbers and Isuzu promised to contact her via e-mail.Y met up with a few of our classmates and they said their parting words..They joked that Y would get a boyfriend before everyone because she was going to move to a co-ed school. After that, all of us went to our classroom and Y said that she would stay until 2.30pm. Everyone sat near Y to talk to her, and P Selva also wished her good luck. I kept quiet most of the time, not because I had nothing to say, but this was my habit when I'm with a large group of people, I usually like to keep quiet, unless we were discussing something. Y also asked Lee Fang not to "bully" Isuzu when she is not around. All of them exchanged jokes and Y also told me to be very careful when I am cooking in my KH class because she is not there to help me anymore. I smiled when she said that. She also said to send her any of my future drawings to her via e-mail. After that, she said that she would be leaving as it is already two-something. She hugged Isuzu and me for the final time and left the classroom with Amanda.

I still could not believe that she had already left. Every now and then teachers would look at the kedatangan book and state that "Tan Wei Ting dah pindah", "Tan Wei Ting dah pindah". Isuzu drew a picture of her after that. I offered to help her scan, and Isuzu asked me, what would Y say if she sent her that drawing of her. I said. she would be very happy and touched, which is how Y would usually react. Isuzu smiled. And as hard as I wanted to admit, I really missed Y.

Even if Y has said many hurtful things to me before, the past is the past, and it should be put behind us. It has been a friendship with many misuderstandings and obstacles, but I knew that, I treasure every single moment the three of us spent together.. To Yukina, if you are reading this, I hope that you can be happy in KL, and don't worry about me or Isuzu, we are fine. Please be healthy and happy. Xavier has won continuously for 7 years...Some of our seniors broke out in tears because the chance of winning was very slim for Xaviers this year...

The stadium was so damn hot that we sweated like we were bathing (pulls cap closer to my sweaty forehead)...But anyway, this year's Sports Day was quite memorable because parents also participated in the events...Hehe...

Sports Dy began with the usual marching, and the long speech by our headmistress and VIPs...My friend who was one of the marchers later came to sit with me and Chumy and stuffed me with her homemade sandwiches...Hehe...and because it was so hot the cheese in the sandwiches melted...And I took the opportunity to exchange manga with my friend...(smirks)

Anyway, congratulations to Xavier for winning!!

The End

Just finished drawing my picture today...Turned out really nice...To all my friends, you will get your copy of my drawings desired via e-mail probably this Sunday...Probably I will post it here...

Today's a really memorable day because... Arts Central showed the last episode of Get Backers!!!! It's kinda boring after Get Backers ended...(Remembers the first time when I watched Get Backers, Yukina called me several times to talk about it after the show ended)Anyway, a nice ending after all...Everybody gets on with their lives...Laughs madly when Kagami took a photo of MakubeX with his digital camera at the end of the episode...It was later revealed he was smiling at the digital camera and it turned out that he took Himiko's pictures secretly and now's he "admiring" it...A crush on Himiko? Oh my god...And Shido tripped because he was 'overloaded' with Madoka's groceries...Laughs...

Yesterday's episode was so damn funny that I had to go what the ** a few times...Imagine Toshiki crying pathetically when Kazuki told him he had been watching him all the time...Why he's jealous of Jubei because Kazuki seems to pay more attention to Jubei during the Fuuga days...He's so stupid!!! And also wishing my second aunt and my cousin a very Happy Birthday, whose birthdays tomorrow...(There's sure a lot of Birthdays going on during February)

Boo to the exams...

Ginji Hospitalised...

I just finished watching Get Backers episode 39 in arts central and thought that it was so funny!!! And TV's showing Bleach...

I am so pressurized now..So many people has been asking me to draw.I have four deadlines this week and this Syaoran fangirl has been asking for her idol's portrait since last year..I attend art lessons and am currently working on my manga and my teacher wants at least one manuscript in one day..I'm going mad!!! And there's this upcoming exam...

Many thanks to nicolet for writing the Kazuki fanfic Dream Come True for my birthday...I know I'm a useless junior...Thanks anyway...
